Crow Hill Committees
The following committees were devised after our October meeting and are based on the concerns voiced by those who attended. Committees will meet during each month to define and implement their goals. If you are a member of CHCA, please strongly consider joining one or more committees.

| Bylaws | Co Chairs: Eve Porter, Daisy Davis, Hodiah Davidson The Bylaws Committee will revise the CHCA bylaws. |

| Community Outreach | Chair: Nina Meledandri The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for maintaining the CHCA database, keeping the web site updated, and informing the community of upcoming meetings and events. |

| Economic Development | Chair: A number of people mentioned interest in the economic growth of our community. The Economic Development Committee activities might include evaluating the types of businesses needed on Franklin Avenue and developing a plan to attract them, working with landlords to create incentives for new businesses to open, working with merchants/landlords/developers to use local trades people in the development of Crow Hill. |

| Fund Raising | Chair: Anna Byfield The Fund Raising Committee will spearhead all activities involved with raising money for CHCA including applying for grants. |

| Good & Welfare | Chair: Cathy Watson The Good & Welfare Committee keeps up with community members and the events in their lives. This includes communication in times of need in the form of flowers, cards, a hospital visit or attending a funeral as well as congratulations in times of joy. Please email CHCA if you have any news concerning a community member so we may act accordingly. | |
| Go Green/Go Clean | Chair: Stacey Sheffe The Go Green Committee is responsible for all aspects of planting in Crow Hill: from tree planting to installing planters to providing tree guards as well as supporting community members in greening the exteriors of their own homes. The committee will also address all aspects of "dirt" in the community including: litter, graffiti, dog doo, trash receptacles, etc. |

| Landmarks | Co Chairs: Stacey Sheffey, Nina Meledandri The Landmarks Committe will explore and spearhead the landmarking of Crow Hill. |

| Merchant Outreach | Co Chairs: Nicole Brown, Eve Porter The Merchant Outreach Committee is responsible for maintaining contact with the merchants on Franklin Avenue, from the perspectives of both membership and determining the concerns of our local businesses. |
|
| Public Safety | Chair: Godfrey Diamond The Public Safety is responsible for analyzing community members concerns about crime and implementing solutions to address them. Installing lights & cameras and creating a neighborhood block watch are strategies that have been discussed. |
|
| Youth Outreach | Chair: The Youth Outreach Committee will address the issue of the lack of programs available to our young people. This committee will most likely partner with other neighborhood associations as this is an issue of primary concern among Crown Heights residents. |
